Hey There Friend,
In April I will do a blog post a day for 30 days. I’m going to be dealing with our identity in Christ… Rooted in Christ.
Guess what? Our journey is going deep. We’re talking about our identity, but not just any old identity. We’re talking about our identity in Christ-you know, being “Rooted in Christ.”
Let’s get real for a minute.
Figuring out who we are and what we’re here for in this bizarre, chaotic world can feel like trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing. But here’s the kicker, especially if you’re walking the Christian path: your identity takes on a whole new dimension.
It’s not just about how you see yourself or how society labels you. It’s about tapping into something way bigger–the timeless truths found in the Bible and the incredible grace that transforms us from the inside out.
Enter “Rooted in Christ.”
This isn’t your average theological study. Oh no, it’s a journey–a deep dive into the very essence of who you are as a follower of Jesus. We’re talking about uncovering the blessings and the responsibilities that come with being part of this wild ride.
From the very beginning, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible paints this vibrant picture of who we are in the eyes of God. And guess what? It’s all about Jesus. He goes beyond being a character in a story. He is the main character; the protagonist! Moreso, He’s the bedrock of our identity. Like Paul said, “In Him, we live and move and have our being.”
So, let’s roll up our sleeves and crack open the Good Book together. Let’s unpack what it truly means to be children of God–heirs of His kingdom, carriers of His grace. Let’s wrap our heads around what it looks like to be forgiven, redeemed, and made brand spanking new through Jesus.
But hold up, we’re not stopping there.
With this identity comes a boatload of responsibility–like living lives that reflect His holiness, loving others fiercely, and spreading the good news like it’s going out of style.
But here’s the kicker: This journey isn’t just about filling our brains with knowledge. Nah, it’s about something deeper–it’s about transformation, renewal, and community. As we dive into these truths, let’s invite the Holy Spirit to shake things up, to illuminate our minds, and to set our hearts on fire with a passion for living out our identity in Christ.
So, my friend, are you ready to dive in with me? Let’s do this together. Let’s plant ourselves firmly in His love, stand tall in His truth, and let His Spirit propel us forward into lives that not only reflect who we are in Christ, but radiate His joy and fulfillment to those around us.
Because in Him, we don’t just find our identity. We find our purpose, our passion, and our ultimate fulfillment. Let’s do this.
