Return To God
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Job 22:23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
The name says it all. This channel is about a Return To God – individually, corporately, nationally, globally. It’s about coming back to our creator. Our world has forsaken God. We have forgotten our creator and the very breath of our life. God has been removed from our public squares, our culture, and our individual lives. This is my personal journey as I renew my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. It is my hope and desire that what Abba shows me along the way will be of help to others who also feel the unrelenting call of God on their lives.
The first eighteen years of my life were spent growing up on a farm in White Sulphur Springs, NY. In April of 1994 I surrendered my life to Christ and made Him Lord and Savior of my life. In July of 2009 I published my first book and since have published 5 others! In April of 2010 I married my wonderful bride and what an adventure that has been!
I love writing and and have always done it in one form or another. My first writing as a kid were in the form of picture stories from science fiction TV shows and movies I’d seen. I’ve written several Christian Devotionals – W.A.R. Wisdom and Revelation – Devotional and Study Guide, I’m Born Again, Now What? – Beginning the New Believer’s Christian Journey, and Jesus Is – Knowing the Face of Our God – a cookbook (Southern Yankee Cooking), and more recently several Science Fiction short stories and books.
However, my first love is Jesus and His word. Therefore, I must follow the call of God on my life that I have not abandoned but set aside for so many years. I had a lot of unlearning to do of the religious system I was in during the past 27 years of my life in Christ, and a lot more re learning I had to do of who Jesus is and who I am according to Him. While I’ve made progress, just like all of us, I still have so far to go.
So here I am, realigning this blog to focus on Jesus, His word, and what He is saying to His people today.
Just a note that I’m not abandoning the childhood dreamer as I did so long ago. I still dream of Ranger One and the Odyssey of Buck Rogers, The Palomino and Cygnus of The Black Hole and The United Planets Cruiser C-57D from Forbidden Planet. Of Arrakis and Shai-Hulud, The Jupiter II and the Robinsons, and the infinite dreams of my childhood. And I will continue to write these stories as God gives them to me, but the main focus will be Jesus.
When I’m not writing, I like to cook, garden, hunt, fish, hike, go camping, just be in the outdoors, read, and ice hockey.
